Reading in Motion

by Yael Hernandez

This project was taken on my Yael Hernandez. She proposed the initial research question of: how will the implementation of RIM (Reading in Motion) and ECM (Early Childhood Music) impact the acquisition of reading and music skills of four and five year-old children? Through implementing a serious of lessons to to different groups of students, one that included RIM and ECM, and one that only used RIM, she came to some interesting conclusions. It was found that students experience greater progress in both music and reading with a combination of RIM and ECM, and she even found that they listened and followed directions better.
